Kids Club at Holy Family Catholic Church Patchway – What You Need to Know

Looking for a safe, friendly place where your child can play, learn, and make friends? Our Kids Club does exactly that. Open every week after school, it mixes games, crafts, and a bit of faith‑based talk in a relaxed setting.

We keep the club simple: a few hours after school, a dedicated team of volunteers, and a schedule that blends free play with structured activities. Kids get to paint, build LEGO, read stories, and join in short Bible lessons that feel more like fun chats than formal lessons.

When and Where It Happens

The club runs Monday to Friday, 3:30 pm – 5:30 pm, in the Parish Hall’s activity room. We have a comfortable carpet area for crafts and a small outdoor space for games when the weather’s good. Parents can drop their kids off and pick them up whenever they need, as long as it’s within the hours.

If you’re worried about transport, we’re close to the main bus stop, and there’s a free parking lot for families who drive. The location is safe, well‑lit, and supervised at all times.

How to Join and What to Expect

Signing up is easy – just fill out a short form on the church’s website or ask at the welcome desk. There’s a modest fee that covers supplies and snacks, and scholarships are available for families who need help.

Each week, we focus on a theme. One week might be “Space Exploration,” where kids build rockets from cardboard and learn fun facts about the planets. Another week could be “Community Helpers,” with role‑play activities that teach respect for nurses, firefighters, and teachers.

We also sneak in short moments for kids to share something they’re grateful for or a prayer they’d like to say. It’s not a sermon; it’s a chance for them to express themselves in a supportive crowd.

Parents love the club because it gives kids a constructive outlet, reduces after‑school boredom, and reinforces the values the church promotes – kindness, honesty, and teamwork.

If you’re curious about the sort of projects we do, check out our recent “Essential Clubs Every Kid Should Try” post. It gives ideas you can try at home, too. And for teens looking for a leadership role, we have a junior volunteer program that lets older kids help run activities.

Ready to give your child a place to laugh, learn, and belong? Come to our open house next Saturday at 10 am. You’ll meet the volunteers, see the space, and get all your questions answered. We can’t wait to welcome your family into the Kids Club community.
