JOURNEY IN FAITH (RCIA)

WELCOME TO OUR JOURNEY IN FAITH PAGE!

on this page you will find details of our parish RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation) sessions.

Every year from October to Pentecost Sunday of the following year, we run a series of informal gatherings where those who are not Catholic can come and find out more about the Catholic Faith.
We have a group of very able and well trained people, who will give a presentation and introduction to various aspects of the Catholic Faith, focused around prayer, information and understanding.

It is a good group to attend to find out more about the Faith.
If after the first few sessions, you would like to join the Church, then you will be invited to make a more 'formal' committment to preparing to  be received into full communion with the Catholic Church at Easter, during the Easter Vigil.
There is no pressure at any stage on anyone and you are encouraged to take your time in making decisions.

THE SESSIONS START AGAIN IN SEPTEMBER 2011
They run from 7.30pm ~ 9.00pm
in the Lady Chapel of Holy Family Church.
Access via the Parish Centre Door.

The Session begins with a reading of the following Sunday's Gospel from Mass
then there will be some input on a particular topic, and you are encouraged to ask questions if you want to.
Then there will be refreshements and the evening will end with some form of prayer time.

YOU WILL BE MADE VERY WELCOME AND NO PRESSURE WILL BE LAID UPON YOU AT ANY TIME

Good luck!
